The JeWel Programme (Talent Development)
Discover how the JeWel Programme nurtures talented students at Jurong West Secondary School, helping them grow as learners, thinkers, and leaders in their chosen fields.
Background
As a future-oriented and forward-looking school which aims to nurture future ready learners, thinkers and leaders, Jurong West Secondary School is committed to providing a holistic education for all our students that allows them to realise their full potential.
The Jurong West (JW) Experience is student-centric where we nurture and further develop students with special talents and interests through a Talent Development Programme (TDP), the JeWel Programme.
Enrolment into the programme is based on a student’s talent and passion as well as academic results in specific subjects.
The JeWel Experience: Our Approach
The JeWel Programme is designed to help students discover, deepen, and broaden their passions, interests, and talents across diverse areas. The programme offers carefully crafted experiences that foster growth and mastery in four key domains: Aesthetics, Innovation, Communication, and Sports.
Designed with intentionality, the JeWel Programme offers opportunities structured around exposure, extension, and mastery. These experiences empower students to connect learning to real-world contexts, think creatively and strategically, and grow as confident, engaged leaders. This holistic programme nurtures mindset, skills, and competencies, providing experiences that inspire curiosity, initiative, and strengthen the agency to serve.
