JWSS Class Committee

Overview

The Class Committee play a crucial role in influencing their peers and juniors in values such as Resilience, Integrity, Care, Harmony, Excellence and Respect. They influence the class culture through class and school projects. The Class Committee roles are: Class Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Peer Support Leader, Sports Leader, VIA Head, Sustainability Head and Aesthetics Head.

Class Committee will receive formal training in the Leadership Challenge (Kouzes and Posner) 5 practices and 10 commitments, namely:

Leadership Platforms

Class Committee are involved in the preparation of class and school projects. They have platforms all year round to practise their leadership. Such platforms include:

Through these platforms, Class Committee can make a positive difference to their peers, the school and the community.

Selection of Class Committee

To be selected as a Class Committee member, students should have consistent school attendance and have an exemplary conduct of “Very Good” or “Excellent”. The Form Teacher may also facilitate a class discussion to reach a consensus in the nomination of class leaders.

Class Committee Recognition

Outstanding Class Committee may also be recommended to serve in the capacity of CCA Leaders, Student Councillors and Student Ambassadors to grow in their leadership journey.
